A Story of Skill, A Conversation of the Heart

Recognising the Person Behind the Profession
Every profession has a story.Behind every skill is an individual managing responsibilities, relationships, expectations, financial concerns, workplace demands, and personal challenges. While society often focuses on what people accomplish, Hunargatha focuses on the person behind those accomplishments.
Hunargatha is a mental health awareness initiative of Parindey Foundation designed to promote conversations around psychological well-being among working individuals, skilled professionals, families, and communities.

WHY HUNARGATHA?

Mental health is an integral component of overall well-being
.Work-related stress, financial pressures, family responsibilities, social expectations, and prolonged emotional strain can influence an individual's psychological and physical health.
These experiences may affect Emotional well-beingSleep and energy levels,Concentration and productivity, Interpersonal relationships Motivation and engagement Physical health and daily functioning However, mental health concerns are not always immediately visible.A person may continue working, meeting responsibilities, and appearing functional while experiencing considerable internal distress.Hunargatha aims to make that invisible experience visible.

UNDERSTANDING THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

A healthy individual is more than their professional role.A worker is more than their productivity.A professional is more than their achievements.A caregiver is more than their responsibilities.Every individual has psychological needs that deserve recognition.Hunargatha encourages a more comprehensive understanding of well-being—one that considers mental, emotional, social, and physical health together.

MENTAL HEALTH IS PART OF OVERALL HEALTH

Mental and physical health are closely interconnected.Sleep, nutrition, physical activity, stress regulation, social relationships, and emotional well-being can influence one another. Therefore, mental health should not be treated as an isolated aspect of life.Taking care of your mental health is part of taking care of your overall health.
